Community Connections: Ways to honor veterans in New Hampshire: Parades, ceremonies set for Monday

Here is a look at Veterans Day events in NH on Monday:


Jaffrey


There's a parade that will assemble at Blake Street and step off around 10:40 a.m. to begin the march to the town common.

At the town common, there will be a prayer, a wreath laying, the National Anthem and an address from Ret. U.S. Navy Officer William "Bud" Taylor.



Lebanon


The Veterans Day parade begins at 11 a.m. on Campbell Street. It will travel around Colburn Park on North Park Street, to West Park Street, down South Park Street and then enters Colburn Park at the corner, near the post office.

A ceremony will immediately follow the parade at the park.



Manchester


A parade hosted by the JROTC Wildcat Battalion will step off on Elm Street at 10 a.m. See event information here.


Rindge


A Veterans Day service will be held at the Cathedral of the Pines at 10:45 a.m. It will include a dedication to World War II veteran Leslie P. Tallirico, guest speakers and some readings.

Stratham


Head to the Veterans Garden at Stratham Hill Park at 11 a.m. for an event. The event will feature an invocation, raising of the colors, the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, a keynote address and a rifle salute.



Swanzey


At 11 a.m. The Veterans Day ceremony will be held outside at the West Swanzey Church on Holbrook Avenue. There will be an honor guard and a brief speech.
